We also hear every single drop of rain that hit’s the room. The timber of the water is not right. It is should not sound as loud as it does and we should not hear every single drop of rain. Therefore this cues us to the possibility that this scene is not real. Juxtaposed with the soft lone tone sounds of the instrument and the water, is the sound of Nameless’s sword and Sky’s spear clashing together to form a harsh metallic sound. The battle starts off in their minds. This is clear because the battle that precedes is shot in black and white. When the real fight takes place the sound of the rain and the peaceful music of the stringed instrument makes the clashing of the blades seem louder then it actually is.

Sissi’s quest to find Bobo leads to a complicating action involving a gun store owner who is unwilling to give out the address of Bobo. However she is able to get the information because of Otto. If Otto was never with her at the point of attack, she would have never found the gun store and she would not been able to find Bobo’s home. Therefore fate is working to bring Bobo and Sissi together.
The film has multiple motives and goals. Since the film is working on three levels, there are three different goals. In relation to the robbery, the goal is for Bobo and his brother to rob the back successfully. In relation to the love story, the goal is for Sissi and Bobo to live happily ever after. Finally the personality goals of each of the main characters is to leave their existing worlds. Bobo needs to “get off the toilet” while Sissi needs to leave the ward.

In order to achieve their goals, Bobo and Sissi change as the film moves along. The warrior turns out to be a widower who has gland problems. Therefore he is not the sensitive person portrayed in the beginning. Also he dreams of his dead wife when he hugs the furnace.
