PC Pro Schools

August 4th, 2008 by sbelectrical

Before i started this blog, i knew nothing about computers or the internet. I was always interested in setting up my own website but never knew how. I asked a few friends and they helped me set up a few simple websites. I started getting into computers and stuff soon afterward. I am thinking about continuing my computer education. I found a website called PC Pro Schools. They help people like me learn about computers and the internet. The people who go through their training receive jobs in the IT field. These jobs are fun and challenging. They also pay really well. If you are interested in learning about computers, check out the good guys over at PC Pro Schools.

helpdesk

July 21st, 2008 by sbelectrical

I just got done fixing my computer. I didn’t do a thing. I had my friend access my computer from another location. My friend lives in California. I live in Chicago. But he was still able to instantly access my computer via the internet. I use remote infrastructure management and help desk support to get help with my computer. It’s a great way to save time and be a better business. Getting things done fast is one of the most important things for business. I was happy to learn from my friend about this new service. It really saves me a lot of my time and i can focus more on my marketing. I don’t want to use up my valuable time trying to fix my computer. I’m not that good with computers. My time is better spent on marketing.

fax needs

July 21st, 2008 by sbelectrical

Working for home is a dream that many people in America have. What could be better then waking up and going to the room next door to do work. You can take lunches whenever you want and you don’t have to spend money buying fast food which isn’t that healthy for you. I have been working from home for the past year. I enjoy it and i have my home office set up pretty nice. I don’t have a really big condo, so i like to keep the space well organized. My home office has two computers both with LCD monitors. this saves a lot of space. I also got rid of my fax machines because i use online faxing for my fax solutions. It’s a great way to send and receive fax without having a fax machine. I get a lot of use out of new technology. I am happy to be a part of this growing movement of working at home.

roofing in Ri

July 21st, 2008 by sbelectrical

Roofing in Ri.
There are several important steps to hiring a good roofing contractor. David Ness,a roofing contractor who does roofing in many towns and cities i.e Providence ri, smithfield ri, north smith field ri, pawtucket ri, riverside ri, cranston ri, warwick ri, lincoln ri, etc in rhode island for over 30 years outlines these import steps.

1)Contact several roofing contractors. Ask the builder, as well as friends and neighbors, for recommendations. If you’re having difficulty locating contractors, try contacting the local builders association to see if it can suggest someone.

2)Have the contractors come out and quote prices on the project. Provide access to the property and make sure all the contractors are bidding on the same type of roofing (such as a specific grade of asphalt shingles).Decide what type of roofing you want. Are you looking for asphalt shingles or wood? Or is slate more your style? Your decision will depend largely on the style of your home and your budget.

3)Ask for references and check them out. Are the previous customers happy with the work that was done for them? Make sure the roofers are including the removal of old roofing in their bids. (Note that it’s not always necessary to remove the existing roof when installing a new one.)

So just following a few of these steps will ensure your roofing project will be a successful one. Please Call David Ness for all you roofing RI needs

singleworddomain.com

July 9th, 2008 by sbelectrical

Single word domain names are rare this day and age. All of the good ones have long been registered. If you can get your hands on a nice single word domain, you should pick it up. I registered propriate.com. It’s not a popular word, but it’s a domain that has potential. It can be sold to a business or new startup in the near future. Or, i can use it to develop my own website.

conference call terms

July 9th, 2008 by sbelectrical

At SB electrical dot com, we find that we have to be in a lot of business situations. I found myself having to make a conference call for the first time. I didn’t think much of it until i was asked a few questions. I didn’t understand what the client was talking about. I pretended to understand and after the conference call ended, i looked the term up on the web. During my search, i found a site that was very helpful. Making conference calls is common now. We need to make these type of calls in our work. We have to talk to our clients or customers. It helps to have a conference call. If you are new to conference calls, the terms used can get a bit confusing. I found a good website that deals with this issue. It’s a site about the different terms associated with conference calls. If you want to look up a new term, all you have to do is check out this website. The website can be found at conference-call-glossary dot com.

How much do electrical people make

June 30th, 2008 by sbelectrical

electricalMy father works in constructions. He is a builder of residential housing units. He has his own design-build company and does pretty well. When i was growing up, i worked with him and his crew during my summer vacations. I got paid to run errands and help out with some of the construction. Out of my father’s employees, i remember the electrical team making the most money. I thought it was cool that they got to go to the basement and attic to install the wires. It was cool how they got all those electrical wires in and out of conduits. There is money to be made in the electrical field. So, how much do electrical people make?

Electric specialists makes anywhere from 40k to 120k a year. If you have your own company, you could make even more. but the hour rate of electrical people are high. If you want to look for a career in the electrical field, you should check out trade schools like Devry and get yourself licensed. SB Electrical is a good place to chat with other people in the field as well. As this blog grows, i hope to be able to network with electrical folks.

SB Electrical is all things electrical

June 26th, 2008 by sbelectrical

electrical sbElectrical circuits and transistors are everywhere. The modern man relied on electrical stuff to make his life easier. Can you image how different out lives would be if we didn’t have any electricity? Can you image a world where there was no light bulbs or computers? Can you image living without television or the internet?

Think about it. How dependent are we of electrical stuff. We wouldn’t be able to carry around mobile phones or travel across the world. We wouldn’t be able to be as productive at work. We would be holding up candles and using fossil fuel to heat and cook.

SB Electrical will try to explain electronic and electrical mumbo jumbo. I hope you will return and check on this blog.
